Now that summer has finally arrived (at least in the UK), it finally feels like the perfect weather for smoothies! They're perfect on the go breakfasts that can fill you up all morning! Freeze the fruit before, and you'll have yourself a super chilled smoothie ready in under five minutes!
I love berries. Which is why I love this smoothie combo in particular. The greek yoghurt gives it a lovely thickness. The oats beef out the smoothie a bit more and make it into more of a meal and stops you reaching for anything else to snack on! Smoothies are great breakfasts in the summer to cool your down and leave you feeling refreshed. Chopping up and freezing the fruit before hand makes this even easier to prepare too.
So go grab your blender and whizz up yourself a cold one!
- A small handful each of blueberries, strawberries, raspberries. (feel free to change to other berries if prefered)
- A good dollop of fat free greek yoghurt.
- A handful of oats.
Whizz it all up in the blender until combined. If the mixture is a bit too solid for you, simply add a splash of milk to loosen it up! Then pour and enjoy in the warm sun :)
